This UL Listed Hi-Brite Flex light strip employs Surface-Mounted LED's on a Flexible Printed Circuit Board strip. These Ultra-Bright SMD LED's have approximately 150 to 200% more light output than regular LED light strips. They are more efficient, and have an expected lifetime of 50,000 hours.
The sealed unit is the best choice for use in exposed locations such as stairwells and hallways where a physically more durable product is needed. It's protective silicone sleeve is water and impact resistant and it is IP-67 rated.
There are 9 LED chips in this strip. Each chip contains 3 LED's so their are 27 total LED's in this 12 inch strip.
The length can be cut shorter in increments of 4" (3 LED Chips) yet maintain the 12VDC supply voltage. Some easy soldering is required to do this. Sealed caps are available to maintain the water and impact resistance and maintain the IP-67 rating.
Either strong adhesive like liquid nails, gel super glue etc can be used to secure the strip, or they can be mounted with nails or screws using mounting clip part number 11-2712.

This optional wire cap is needed to maintain the IP67 (weatherproof) rating, if the sealed LED strip is cut into shorter lengths or more strips are linked together.
One of these is glued to both 12" and 24"sealed LED strips. A spare one is included with the 24" models.
Feed the soldered wires through the cap and apply a small amount of clear silicone sealant (not included) and slide it over the soldered 12VDC connections.
