To calculate the required transformer: Add up the total appliance Wattage (or multiply Amps x Voltage to get Watts) and add 25% extra for heat build-up in the transformer. For example: If you intend on plugging in 750 Watts total you'll need a 1000 Watt transformer. An overheated transformer may fail and could cause a failure of the appliance that is plugged into it.
The most economical transformers available. Select this series if you don't need the features of the other transformers (multiple outlets, on/off switch, indicator lights switch or fuse protection). This is the basic transformer with a European Shuko plug on the power cord and a single 3 pin grounded Ameriican socket. They are suitable for use with power tools, microwave ovens, home applicances, tread mills, air conditioners and more....
Not for use with auto start/shutoff coffe makers and irons or electronically controlled blankets or toasters. All of these items contain electronic components and MUST HAVE a transformer type voltage converter. When in doubt use a transfomer type.
These adapters do not change the electrical voltage. You must be sure that your appliance can handle the voltage in the country where you are using it. Some products have a switch that selects different voltages, some products can do it automatically. If the product can't run on the voltage you require, then you need to purchase one of our step-up or step-down transformers.
