 | Photo Resist - Negative Acting Philmore Datak ER-71
Note: This chemical product can not ship by air. A liquid spray-on coating in its own spray bottle. The process of pcb making or metal etching starts with first coating the board (or metal) with this resist. Next the material is exposed with UV light, (See # ER2000 below)
through your artwork or pcb layout. It is then developed in the ER-8 liquid developer, which causes the exposed resist to harden, while the unexposed resist washes off. The hardened areas are then protected from the ferric chloride etchant bath while the remaining areas are removed or etched. The end result is a high quality pcb or metal etching. This material is negative acting meaning it requires a negative image. - Coats approx. 1700 Sq. inches.
- May be flow coated or brushed.
- Ideal exposure is at 365 millimicrons +10/-15 millimicrons.
Use chemical gloves when handling this product.See our Nitrile Glove P/N 12-510.Here is a product trick using an old turntable / record player: For a more uniform coating use a throw away turntable that is set at 45 RPM. With the spindle removed and the PC board mounted on the platter, apply the material on the center of the board. Turn the player on and let the centrifical force flow coat the PCB surface. The turntable dust cover also works great for keeping dust and light off the board while drying. Cover the dust cover with anything that will keep the light out. Click Here for Instructions

Tinnit Tin Plate Makes 1 Pint Philmore Datak # ER18
Note: This chemical product can not ship by air. Use Tinnit to plate bare copper circuit boards to enhance solderability, resist oxidation and improve the appearance. It has also been used to plate edge card connector fingers on prototypes when a low, stable contact resistance is needed, but gold is not available or desired. The powder makes one pint size of Tinnit, which will plate up to 600 square inches of copper with approximately 0.0004" of bright tin. Plating is complete after about 10 minutes in a fresh solution. Adhesion and solderability are excellent. No electricity is required; the material tends to plate any metal that is chemically more active than tin and is not ozidized by the plating bath. Tinnit has been successfully used to plate brass, bronze, iron and some carbon steels. Tinnit© is supplied as a dry mixture with an indefinite shelf life, however when mixed with water, the solution has a life of approximately two months. You need add no acid or other materials to this solution. Tinnit contains all plating chemicals plus surfactants and cleaners to insure a perfect plate. Use chemical gloves when handling this product. See our Nitrile Glove P/N 12-510.
