Premium Natural Cellulose Sponges for soldering tip cleaning. These tips meet MIL-STD-2000 (J-STD-001B) for low sulfer content and fine porosity. Just add water, and the height will expand about 15 times its original size.
Tip: Many "economy sponges" are manufactured with man-made fibers and materials typically found in non-industrial (household) type sponges. These synthetic sponges are not recommended for cleaning soldering tips because they contain colorings, sizings, plasticizers, stiffeners, and other contaminants which will promote detinning and shorten tip life.
