PC Board Mounted RelayPC Board Mounted Relay
Philmore DATAKit # 80-043

There are many applications where you need quick availability of a relay for connection to a particular piece of apparatus. You also want a quick way to connect wires, a diode across the relay to discharge the back emf generated by the relay and have it all on a single mountable board. THIS SIMPLE KIT SOLVES THE PROBLEM!

This kit comes with a 12 VDC relay but is compatible with any of the other Philmore 3, 6, 9, 18 or 24 volt relays (See items 86-103, 86-105, 86-106, 86-109, 86-118 and 86-124)

Contact Rating:

  • 10A @ 125VAC
  • 7A @ 240VAC
  • 10A @ 28VDC

This kit is ideal for the output of many alarm circuits which must be connected to a remote switching device. It also works well for kits that require an external relay.

ION Generator
Philmore DATAKit # 80-570

A

re there some healthful positive benifits caused by being in an environment that contains negative or positive ions? Some reports suggest a wide range of benefits. This generator can be set up to generate either negative or positive ions, the builders choice.

Operation from 117 Volts AC power line. You will need to find a case or box for the final assembly, about 2" x 4-1/4" and an inch in depth and an AC power cord from an old lamp (or buy new). You can actually feel the flow of ions from the unit.

Touch Switch with Relay KitTouch Switch with Relay Kit
Philmore DATAKit # 80-137

This Touch Switch may be used to turn on almost anything with a light touch of a ‘plate’. The circuit pulls in a relay which remains engaged for anything from five seconds to about a full minute, depending upon you changing just one resistor to set the time amount (default is five seconds).

One of the unique features of this circuit is that the touch-plate may be located up to several yards away from the circuit board if necessary. It may also be battery powered if an AC supply is not convenient. An LM555 is used in the heart of the circuit.

The relay can handle up to 12A in its contacts. A 12V battery pack or AC power supply is recommended although we’ve used the circuit on an unregulated 9V supply.

Touch or Contact Switch Kit
Philmore DATAKit # 80-100

Both a touch and a contact switch are built onto one PC board so that the builder can see how each works. A battery can power the contact switch but you’ll need an AC power supply for the touch switch to work well (use No. 80-040) for reasons explained with the kit.

The circuit is triggered by AC "hum" , so use a wall wart power supply for best result. The circuit switches a relay with a 3 amp, 110 volt rating. Use to switch lamps, other appliances.
