The New CableTool model 50 from Psiber Data Systems provides contractors, electricians, low voltage installers, or anyone involved in the installation or maintenance of metallic cables with the capability to quickly find faults in cables up to a distance of 2500 feet.
Simply select the appropriate cable type from the pre-stored library, attach the leads to two conductors of the cable and with a single press of a button the length of the cable or distance to an open or short is displayed. Voltage on the wires is continuously measured and displayed to warn of a potentially unsafe condition.
The CableTool will also inject a tone onto the conductor for tracing cables installed in walls and ceilings with a standard tone probe. The universal banana jack test lead connectors allow for a wide range of adapters for any connector type. The affordable CableTool is an essential tool for anyone in the cabling industry.

This is a 8 -way coaxial cable mapper that is designed to find and identify coax cables. It is a hand-held device for CATV and security system installers who test multi-run coax systems terminated with F-connectors. Great for those who wish to map runs to a central bundle. It can also insert a tone signal on a coax cable for use with toners.
Ok so how does this work? This mapper consists of a master unit and 8 remote F connector terminators, which are numbered 1 thru 8. The device is connected to one end of the coax cable in question. One of the remote terminators are connected to the other end of the coax cable. Push the test button and a bright LED will light that indicates the terminator number and identifies the cable.
